The Company of Centre Lathe Turner / Manual Turner
An innovative laboratory equipment manufacturer are looking for an experienced centre lathe turner/ manual turner to join their team. The company work with both large international organisations to small local businesses providing high quality engineering equipment and are at the forefront of their field.
Duties of a Centre Lathe Turner / Manual Turner
- To follow drawings to produce correct components to the required standards in the most efficient and cost-effective way
- Setting and operating manual lathes
- Setting tools and producing parts to tight tolerances from customer drawings
- Using various tooling to Minimise cycle times by determining the most efficient machining process
- Use of inspection and test equipment
- Maintain quality paperwork
- Maintaining equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
Requirements of a Centre Lathe Turner / Manual Turner
- Previous, substantial experience as a Centre Lathe Turner/ Manual Lathe Turner
- Flexible approach to work
- Experience working in engineering/production environment within an engineering machine shop
- Capable of selecting / advising / setting of the correct tooling to maximise efficiency
- You must be very well organized and disciplined in your work
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience of working with a variety of materials
Hours of Work of Centre Lathe Turner / Manual Turner
- Days
- Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm
- Early Finish on Fridays
Salary
- £15.00 - £17.00 per hour
