Job description
Act as the first point of contact to the public and internal/external stakeholders for all aspects of fixed penalty offences. Ensuring that the advice, and guidance provided is appropriate and in line with relevant legislation and force procedures.
Responsible for dealing with the end-to-end processes relating to traffic fixed penalty notices including offence adjudication, case management and dealing with the public’s expectations. Acting as decision maker for fixed speed camera offences, representing the Force in Court when required.
Provide support to the delivery of the National Driver Offender Retraining Courses in the Cheshire Force area.
Search and interrogate numerous police systems, reviewing all available information to make an informed decision.
Manage bookings/payments over the phone for drivers in respect of the National Offender Driver Schemes (NDORS) courses delivered by the Force. Identifying caller needs and providing advice/guidance for a diverse range of scenarios.
Requires the ability to prioritise tasks with conflicting demands/deadlines and demonstrate flexibility and openness to change.
Must have experience in experience of working in a public facing or customer service environment and using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Edge
Ideally have experience in an administration role and working within procedural.
Must be able to work as part of a team.
