POSITION: CDP - ASSISTANT CHEF, THE PANTRY, YATTENDON RG18 0UF

Salary: From £10.25 - £11.50 per hour depending on experience + a share of tips

Duties and schedule include:

· Assist in the preparation and cooking to order of menu items as directed by the Chef Manager

· Cooking to a high standard during busy periods for breakfasts and lunches or at our production kitchen locally

· Portion control

· Assist with preparing healthy and exciting salads and brunch dishes

· Assist with baking cakes and traybakes for the cafe

· Kitchen cleaning and assist with washing up as required

· Adhering to health & hygiene regulations

· Ability to work unsupervised

· Working 5 days out of 7

· Working within a team rota to cover 7 days a week with a changing shift pattern alternate weeks, (average 40 hours)

· Alternate weekends off

Who we are looking for?

Our ideal candidate will be hardworking, proactive, flexible and have a happy, bubbly personality, in short be a team player.

Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years kitchen experience however training on the job will be considered for the right candidate. Ideally you will have level 2 or above certificate in Food Hygiene and an allergen awareness certificate.

Due to the rural setting of the café in Yattendon, having your own transport to get to work is essential. (Required)

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and be fluent in spoken and written English.
