Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure internal Customer Due Diligence (CDD) requirements are adhered to
  • To undertake ongoing monitoring reviews for existing customers
  • Evaluate and escalate common errors and policy deficiencies identified during reviews to assist the development and enhancement of the banks instructions
  • Ensure workflow management tools are completed accurately and fully to enable data to be extracted for management information (MI) reporting
  • Identify any key risk areas and Anti Money Laundering (AML) ‘red flags’ and escalate to management
  • Undertake quality control checks on both new to bank and existing CDD.
  • Keep up to date with and develop a broad knowledge of upcoming changes in regulations, internal policies and latest developments in financial crime learning
  • Perform ad-hoc duties delegated by Team Lead
  • Communicate effectively to branch colleagues and District compliance departments any issues raised from case reviews to enable these to be resolved in a timely manner
  • Embed the Handelsbanken culture

Skills, Experience and Role Requirements:

  • AML and KYC experience is preferred
  • A thorough understanding of due diligence requirements and the differences between, simplified, standard and enhanced
  • Experience in regulated environments is preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Self-motivated and results focused
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyse, articulate and present complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • A team player with a positive, supportive, and engaged approach to change.
  • Excellent time management skills and able to prioritise workloads to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Professional standard of presentation skills.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels and represent Handelsbanken effectively.
