Our aim at Galeco is to best protect our clients, their staff, and their property from a multitude of threats, we utlise device setup with high-end equipment to ensure our operators have the tools available to meet these aims.
We are looking for an experienced CCTV Control Room Operator wanting to join a friendly team.
You should be confident with multi-tasking and be able to prioritise responses based on events received.
You’ll be responsible for monitoring a range of alarms and events from CCTV, intruder, and fire, covering a large range of clientele.
Using our cloud-based system you’ll be undertaking virtual patrols of our sites, answering and making telephone calls, and reporting issues to the relevant site contacts as per our procedures.
As you’ll need to provide a detailed recording of events, you should have an an excellent standard of written and verbal communication. Being able to accurately report on events and follow national standards and legal requirements.
A well-formed understand of IT; structuring emails, using search engines, writing reports, connecting to remote machines. Training will be provided on the bespoke software used.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
To monitor, answer, review and establish a successful outcome from event-based alarms via our monitoring systems.
To carry out virtual patrols of all sites via their respective platforms, reporting camera faults and site issues to the Control Room manager and/or site contacts.
To write detailed and accurate site incident reports for events and outcomes, ensuring that evidential material is easily accessible and admissible.
To review CCTV footage to establish correct event outcomes.
To make, answer and handle telephone calls in an efficient polite and professional manner, regularly liaising with the emergency services and other security companies.
What you’ll need to possess
CCTV - SIA Licence is Essential
Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with a wide range of clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Polite and professional telephone manner
You will need to pass a DBS check process
A well-formed understand of IT; structuring emails, using search engines, writing reports
Inquisitive and proactive nature and a willingness to learn new skills
Desirable:
Previous experience preferred but training can be given to the right applicant
