Job Title Finance and Business Administrator (Part time)
Responsible to Company Director
Role Purpose Provide finance and business administrative support to ensure the operational aspects of the business are supported effectively.
Responsibilities: (Note in addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required)
- Process invoices from spreadsheet information supplied by Advocates.
- Bank reconciliation including allocating monies received and paid.
- Perform credit control duties to ensure cash flow is optimized.
- Create monthly financial reports as requested by the Company Director
- Prepare and file company VAT returns.
- Reconcile timesheets against invoices raised.
- Identify and correct miscalculations and financial discrepancies.
- Perform HR activities as required (producing contracts, calculating holidays, job descriptions etc)
- Complete relevant registration for pensions as required.
- Administrative support to the Company Director
- Develop and streamline operational efficiencies.
Skills and Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts and using financial Excel functions)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures
- Time-management and organization skills
- Confidentiality
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven work experience as a Finance Administrator, Finance Assistantor similar role
- Hands-on experience with accounting software.
- A good educational background with a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade C, one must be in English.
Job Types: Part-time, Freelance
Part-time hours: 7 per week
Salary: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
