Job description

Please note this is a part-time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

The successful candidate will be working as part of a catering team to deliver a range of food and beverages in line with Food Hygiene Legislation and NHS Lanarkshire policies and procedures to meet the nutritional needs of patients, staff, and users of NHS Lanarkshire services.

The successful candidate is required to undertake training and induction on the job (this will generally take 4-6 weeks, depending on hours/days worked), to achieve full competency across a range of duties. They are required to undertake Prevention, Assessment & Management of Violence of Aggression (PaMOVA) training level 1 and level 2, if identified following an appropriate risk assessment. The successful candidate is also required to undertake the NHS Lanarkshire compulsory training, mandatory Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) standards and complete NHSS Catering Services Workbook.

The successful candidate must evidence knowledge of catering standards and related procedures, ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team, working knowledge of Health & Safety including participation in risk assessing individual tasks. They must possess effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment and knowledge of basic information technology. The successful candidate is also required to obtain the Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate.


Shift Pattern - Monday to Friday 4pm-7.30 pm
