About This Opportunity


As a Senior Category Manager, you’ll play a critical role in laying the strategic framework that will drive category growth for Coca-Cola and our retail partners. Unlock growth opportunities by turning complex data and trends into clear, concise, actions. Become an indispensable asset to the Coca-Cola Canada Bottling System and our retailers by being their trusted expert on everything related to the consumer.


Responsibilities

  • Support the company’s growth ambitions by working directly with internal and external stakeholders. Drive beverage growth across multiple retailers or channels.
  • Deliver impartial and objective total store and beverage solutions for the retailer by providing differentiated, timely, relevant, and actionable insights.
  • Lead fact-based category interactions with account and customer team to address key business questions and build strategies and tactics designed for future category growth.
  • Provide business situation assessment and support joint business plan development with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and inspire a cross functional team towards building effective category growth recommendations focused on the customer’s needs and strategic priorities.
  • Lead the delivery and at times the creation of shopper insights enhancing both Coca-Cola’s and the retailer’s understanding of the consumer.
  • Working collaboratively with the retailer, deliver a space strategy plans that enables category growth while maintaining fundamental space principles and aligns to the channel/brand standards of Coca-Cola Bottling Limited and it’s partners.
  • Cultivate relationships within retailer’s merchandising team and throughout the broader organization.
  • Ensure best and current customer-oriented thinking is utilized.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ Years in CPG Industry.
  • Experience in Category Management or Account Management
  • Capability to combine qualitative and qualitative elements into a single story.
  • Ability to multi-task cross functional workstreams, while managing high attention to detail.
  • Proven experience delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
