As an ITV Catalogue Operations Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring that the data in the Catalogue is accurate and up-to-date, ready for it to be employed by all those internal and external teams and systems who consume and use the information. It's an exciting prospect to be at the heart of ITV and its content.

    • Utilising internal documentation and complimentary products to systemise metadata into ITV’s core catalogue, ensuring that metadata is available for use by downstream users and processes in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Liasing with external customers and suppliers in order to source data for acquired programmes and systemising relevant data into ITV’s core catalogue
    • Sourcing any missing data from multiple sources, troubleshooting and proactively adjusting processes to reduce recurrence of missing data
    • Responding to queries relating to content metadata, completing and communicating changes to other business areas as required
    • Approving / creating Catalogue records and associated IDs as required by other business areas
  • Ensuring good quality data is captured to agreed timelines, including specific responsibility for key business critical metadata for both linear and VOD platforms.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of ITV metadata processes and systems in order to provide sound advice to other departments and to provide a high quality service to downstream users of metadata.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of metadata responsibilities across ITV and ensure that each business area understands its own responsibilities for creating good quality metadata at the correct stage in the content supply chain. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Providing support, guidance, troubleshooting and solutions to issues
    • Clarify and demystify procedures and responsibilities
    • Promote best-practice around metadata sourcing, curation and use
    • Assess and respond positively to changing business needs
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and customers, building a culture of cooperation and trust, promoting exchange of information in the most timely and efficient manner possible.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with a range of business areas including commissioning and acquired, legal and business affairs, production and other teams with Content Supply and Distribution to ensure awareness and compliance with ITV’s Metadata Governance requirements.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of ITVs metadata policies and systems as required.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant business meetings as required to advise and update wider team on upcoming requirements

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage own workloads
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to build and maintain successful relationships across departments and with external customers
  • Good standard of technical ability, will be required to use a range of internal products and systems as well as standard software such as excel
