What is the role?
We are looking for Casual Groundstaff to join our Award Winning Grounds team. We have vacancies for those available studying Groundsmanship, Horticulture or working in the industry to join us and support the Grounds team at St. Mary’s Stadium and Staplewood Campus on Match Days and as required throughout the season.
This support includes; the maintenance of the pitch at St. Mary’s Stadium during Match Days and providing further support during periods of high workload as required. On a Match Day you will be required to divot the pitch, assist in repairing the pitch immediately after matches and support the setup of playing surfaces, ensuring that high standards and safety are taking into consideration.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for enthusiastic, team players with an eye for detail, who can work efficiency and on their own initiative. The successful candidates will need to have an interest in the Sports Turf industry.
The competencies which are required include:
Essential Experience:
- Experience within the Grounds maintenance industry.
Desirable Experience:
- Currently working in the industry.
Essential Qualifications (including certifications):
- Aware of relevant and adhere to Health and Safety legislation.
Desirable Qualifications (including certifications):
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
Essential Skills:
- Be a team player and take responsibility for your work.
- Professional attitude at all times.
- A flexible approach to work.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of using pedestrian rotary mowers.
