The Specialist Early Years Centre (SEYC) supports children with SEND, providing high quality Early Years Education and Family support. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the expansion of a successful and very highly regarded service. The Specialist Early Years Centre are looking for an Assistant Early Years Practitioner, on a casual basis, to provide cover when there is staff illness or absence
We recognise that applicants may not have the specialist knowledge around supporting children with additional needs and their families; therefore, a desire to listen, learn and develop is essential. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn alongside our incredibly experienced and highly effective team.
About you
- You will have at least a L2 qualification in Early Years and childcare (or a recognised equivalent) as well as GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
- You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate equally effectively with children, parents and colleagues.
- You will recognise the value of a team approach to meeting challenges and have the ability to follow instruction as well as work using your own initiative.
Flexibility and a sense of humour are essential in an environment which can change rapidly and in which no two days are ever the same!
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
