Job description
We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Legal Cashier for a permanent opportunity with a well-regarded law firm based in Norwich.
This role is part of a strong team that work closely to provide a first-class cashiering service to the firm some of the duties you can expect in your role will include:
- Receiving incoming cheques
- Reconciling bank statements
- Sending and receiving money
- Checking completion statements
- Processing bills and assisting with their preparation
- Preparing cheques
- Transfers
- Journals
- Petty cash
- Taking card payments
- Foreign account transactions
They are looking for someone who has a strong cashiering background but does not necessarily have a legal background, if you have the following skills:
- Knowledge of client accounting system including reconciliation to bank accounts
- Previous experience in a Cashiering role
- Excellent communication skills
- Motivated, pro-active and highly organised
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to prioritise and manage a busy workload
- Knowledge of SRA rule and regulations relating to client accounts would be advantageous but not essential.
