The Job: Granton Construction Inc. is offering full time employment for you to develop as a Carpenter Assistant.
The Pay and Benefits: The wages are excellent for the construction industry, and benefits are available after completing your 3-month probation. Benefits will include extended health care, dental, life insurance, and disability insurance. The hourly pay will be based on your level of experience at the time of hiring.
The Requirements: You are required to be able to have your own transportation to jobs in the tri-cities area and surrounding area.
The successful individual MUST supply and wear their own tool pouch, with hand tools such as a hammer, and have personal protective equipment such as proper CSA steel-toe work boots, hard hat, high visibility vest and both eye and ear protection. Other tools will be provided on site.
It is an asset to have Proof of WHMIS, Current (or need Refresher) Working at Heights or Fall Arrest, and Ontario Worker Safety Awareness training.
The Job Responsibilities: You will be responsible for learning Trim Carpentry: how to hang doors, trim stairs and installing door and window casing, baseboard, interior and exterior door hardware, possibly framing and rough carpentry with our renovation division, with our expectation for you to contribute as a full member of the crew.

Salary: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
