HGV Class 1 Driver Conwy, Wales
Job description
Due to continued business growth, there is an opportunity for a HGV Class 1 driver
to join the Wales Environmental Group at our North Wales Depot.
Driving articulated vacuum tankers you will be personable, practical and ideally have
previous experience in the sector.
You will have excellent communications skills and great customer service skills as
you will be dealing directly with clients / customers.
As a tanker driver you will be expected to fulfil all jobs to the required standards and
the customer's reasonable expectations.
The role:
You may be required tramp out up to 4 nights per week, with night out allowance.
Overtime is also available on weekends so drivers will need to be flexible for
weekend work.
The types of work that you will undertake will include, but not be limited to vacuum
tankering. There will also be an element of necessary paperwork with the job. All
works undertaken must be carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety
policy including wearing PPE at all times
Main responsibilities of the HGV Class 1 Driver roles include: to maintain excellent
levels of customer service to ensure accurate and timely communications with the
transport team To operate within current driving and working time legislation to
ensure good self-presentation, including vehicle to help maintain a safe working
environment in line with H&S Act 1974
The Successful HGV Class 1 Drivers will have the following: Experience preferably
with Tankers/Liquids CPC Qualified Possess a digital tachograph card Have a full
understanding of tachograph legislation.
Ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism Able to accommodate
Nights out during the week
