What’s the role?
Full time 37.5 hpw
Monday to Friday nights
Mixture of 18.00 to 02.00 & 20.30 to 04.30
Key Responsibilities
We have plenty of challenge to keep you motivated, build on your current skills, and help you to grow. These will be your key responsibilities; you should recognise some of these in relation to your current skills and experience as well as some objectives that you will need training & development to achieve.
- Complete processes and activities, in accordance with both CAA and DfT regulations and Airline(s), Airport(s) and company procedures.
- Perform accurate and efficient sortation of outbound cargo/passenger baggage.
- Take active involvement in all Aircraft Turnaround processes (including but not limited to aircraft arrival, cargo/baggage unload, cargo/baggage load, aircraft departure) as instructed by Team Leader.
- Security duties (including but not limited to Patrols, Access Control and I.D. checks).
- Safe and efficient operation of Ground Service Equipment.
- Regular preventative maintenance within the operational environment (including but not limited to removal of FOD, Ground Service Equipment checks/cleaning).
- Provide assistance and input to any cargo/baggage loading/unloading problems with accuracy and efficiency ensuring Team Leaders are kept informed.
- Work cohesively as part of the team so as to maximise co-operation leading to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.
- Liaise and work together with other departments to ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Be able, without exception, to provide a 5-year history (with no gaps) including work and none work activities
- Have been a UK resident for the last 5 years
- Would you be able to obtain a clear DBS certificate?
- Along with the flexibility to work overtime as required?
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to read, write and understand written instruction and information
- Proactive approach to all work requirements and a team centred ethos.
- Driving Licence is essential
