About Our Client
My client is a family owned business and have been trading for over 60 years, having now grown to be one of the leading suppliers of rugs within the UK. With exciting growth plans over the coming years, my client is looking for a National Account Manager to work with the Sales Director to help support on and managing a diverse portfolio of accounts.
Job Description
- Work with the Sales Director to manage and develop an existing group of national retailers
- Win new business and open new opportunities with National Accounts, E-Commerce and interior designers
- Creating sales strategies and business plans both immediate and longer-term to maximise sales and profit
- Identify key product trends and work cross-functionally to deliver fresh concepts and stay at the forefront of the market
- Ensure all sales administration and CRM systems are is kept up-to-date
- Keep forecasts up-to-date and align with supply and logistics for timely delivery
- Work with technical staff at both factories and in our offices to ensure that products are developed to meet customer standards in terms of performance and compliance
- Track and record all account performance and submit monthly reports on progress with direct visibility to CEO level
- Think outside the box to improve the customer experience and build brand loyalty
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience delivering growth at Key Account Manager/ National Account Manager level
- Experience in the Home Furnishings sector (textiles and rugs a bonus); experience managing Next, John Lewis etc. preferred
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional time management, organisation and presentation skills
- Ability to prioritise and meet critical deadlines
- Be passionate about textiles
- Come with an existing network within the industry
- Strong negotiator and problem solver
- Highly driven and self-motivated
- Comfortable both leading and being led
- Solid understanding of forecasting and experience working with supply and logistics
- Must be willing to do 5 days a week in the office (North London), with time also spent in trade. The company is family owned and tight knot, with employees staying 10+ years on average
