Job description
A Vacancy has arisen for a Care-Taker at Abbotsound Ltd/Links Resource Centre – a Day Centre and CQC registered Respite Home.
Monday-Friday
Hours: 7 hours per day.
Pay Rate : £9.50 to £10.50 per hour based on experience.
The caretaker will report directly to the Operations Manager and Premises Manager
Daily Main Duties
· Adhering to company’s safety policies to create a safe working and residential environment for everyone and which our residents would be proud to call their home.
· General cleaning which includes cleaning of surfaces/toilets/hoovering/dusting and polishing throughout the building – including stairwells and communal areas.
· Ability to perform general handyperson/DIY work such as clearing the occasional blockage in a toilet/identifying requirement for plumber to repair a flusher, replacing light bulbs for example.
· Assisting the Premises Manager with cleaning and general water sample testing of the company’s heated swimming pool
· Ensuring rubbish is placed in the correct bins – as required by the council and also ensuring that any other waste is placed in the Human Waste bins provided.
· Maintenance, ordering and control of housekeeping stores – such as detergents, mops, PPE etc as required by the company.
· Monthly deep cleaning of building as part of Infection Control policy.
· Occasional construction of flat pack items for clients – such as cupboards.
· Assisting the Premises Manager with clearance items.
· The caretaker must be prepared to work the occasional weekend as and when required.
