Facilities Manager

Reporting to the Faculty Operations Director (with an informal link to a Senior Manager in the Facilities Directorate):
You will be responsible for the delivery of an integrated Facilities Management (FM) service to the Faculty on a day-to-day basis. The role itself operates as the main liaison point and conduit between the FM service providers from within the Facilities Directorate (FD) and the Faculty, understanding and reconciling the complexity between each one.
The focus of the role is on managing facilities for, and within the Faculty that are balanced to meet both the requirements of the Faculty and align with the relevant University wide strategies e.g. Net Zero, Curriculum Redefined, Campus Re-imagined, Digital Transformation.
You will be a leader in ensuring in conjunction with FD service providers, that all facilities are fit for purpose, well-maintained and fully compliant with all statutory requirements, working in close partnership with Faculty Operations Directors (FODMs), FD Service Managers, Technical Services Managers, and other senior members of FD.
The role is also crucial in providing support activity around the delivery of relevant capital projects including refurbishment projects, capital maintenance, and minor works.
