The starting salary for Care Worker Level 3 is £24,496 (Tier 1) rising to £25,878 (Tier 2) on first year anniversary (£12.70/hour), subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)

JOB PURPOSE
Care Workers are expected to work and cooperate with other professionals, as well as citizens and their meaningful others, to ensure a shared approach to care and support and continuity of care and treatment.
Care Workers at Level 3 should maintain an up to date awareness, knowledge and understanding of relevant policies, procedures and legislative requirements relevant to the role, client group and Adult Social Care in general. Care Workers at Level 3 will be expected to deputise for the Care Team Leader when required, dealing with Safeguarding incidents if needed.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to assess social care and health needs and develop, implement, maintain and update Person Centred Care Plans.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (including facilitating reviews, engagement, report writing, maintaining good quality records, letters, difficult conversations etc.)
- Knowledge and understanding of the rights, needs and feelings of vulnerable adults from diverse social and cultural backgrounds.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to Level 1 literacy Skills (Qualifications and Credit Framework) or equivalent qualification , or a willingness to work towards achieving within a reasonable timescale. NVQ/ QCF 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care, or willingness to work towards this.
