Care Support Worker
Crossroads is part of the Carers Trust, who have been providing care and support to people in Sandwell and surrounding areas for over 35 years and we value these communities and their connection to us.
We currently have vacancies for full and part-time Care Support Workers in Sandwell, Birmingham and Walsall to work as part of our team supporting local people in their own homes.
We are looking for individuals who are caring, practical with supporting people with long- and short-term health conditions, enabling them to live in their own home for as long as possible.
If you have a Care Certificate or Care qualification or wishing to explore a career in care, we would love to meet with you. We are looking for people with a caring nature, who are reliable, can work a flexible working week, and get around the community easily, to provide continuity of same Care Support worker to our service users living within a local area.

Hours - fixed contracts of either 16, 28 or 37 hours per week (to include early mornings, evenings and alternate weekends)
Rates of pay - £9.50 – £11.65 per hour
Driving licence essential (with access to your own vehicle)
Full induction training is provided to successful applicants, including all mandatory training on commencement of employment.

Your role as a Care Support Worker will include – assisting people in their own homes with daily living needs, caring for people who are recovering from an illness or after discharge from hospital and offering support with domestic tasks. At times, you may be required to provide respite care specifically for palliative patients, to enable family carers to have planned respite for an agreed number of hours.
