The HICA Group has an exciting opportunity for you to join our new community as we prepare to launch our new project within The Grange for older people and those with dementia.
We are looking for caring and passionate individuals to join our new team as a Care Support Worker. A full and comprehensive training programme will be provided, so if you are new to the care sector, we will help you start you journey with support and guidance.
- Starting rate of pay is £10.50 per hour, increasing to £10.80 per hour after 6 months’ service.
- An additional enhancement of 50p per hour for night staff.
- Full hours available with paid breaks!
The Role
Working under the direction of your shift team leader with additional support from our experienced management team, your day as a Care Support Worker with us will involve:
- Spending time with our residents and getting to know their wants and needs to ensure the highest standards of service are provided.
- Being an advocate for our residents, ensuring their preferences are met by supporting nurses and managers with reviewing records and updating care plans.
- Helping our service users to maintain their independence by assisting with everyday living tasks, washing, and dressing.
- Keeping our residents engaged and active by encouraging them to access regular activities with the support of our dedicated Activities team.
- Working with our catering team to deliver a high-standard food and beverage service in accordance with our residents’ individual choices, needs and preferences.

About us:
Providing residential care for people with early or moderate dementia and can accommodate up to 25 people in ground floor purposely designed studio and one bedroom apartments. Specially designed to the Stirling University Gold Standard and with the guidance of the Alzheimer’s society, the community is designed to support people with all aspects of their daily living, in a homely and familiar environment.
Please note that successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide evidence of their Covid-19 vaccination status.
