Focus Birmingham is a leading charity in Birmingham and we are seeking Care* Support Workers* to join the Complex Needs Support department.
The purpose of the role is to provide excellent day-to-day support that respects people’s preferences and choices, and enables them to access and fully participate in the activities at Focus Birmingham’s Day Service. This job involves providing direct support to people with learning, physical, sensory and communication disabilities.
The role of the Care Support Worker involves supporting people both on their journey to and from the Day Service and whilst at the Day Service. You will ensure the people we support travel to the Day Service in a safe and enjoyable environment. You will also support people whilst at the Day Service to enable them to take part in all activities and attend to their personal care needs. You will proactively support each person’s ability to make choices and communicate their needs.
Job type and hours available is:
30 hours per week – Monday to Friday – The role works on a rota basis of shift patterns they can include 07:00-13:00, 09:00-15:00 or 11:30-17:30.
