Come and join our Technical Support Group as a Laboratory Technician in downstream processing.
Do you have an interest in science and looking to gain some laboratory experience?
If so, this is a great opportunity for a Laboratory Technician to join the Technical Support Group within Albumedix to perform daily laboratory support activities for downstream and characterisation activities for the production of recombinant protein products.
The site is expanding so it’s a great time to join the team to further your career.
This role is based on site in central Nottingham and the site is easy to get to, being only a short walk from the train station and tram stop.
Albumedix is now part of Sartorius, is a recognised world leader in recombinant human albumin products and technologies.
What you will accomplish together with us:
Perform routine activities such as washing up glassware, sterilise equipment and components using autoclaves, equipment calibration including HPLC, pH and conductivity probes
Perform routine housekeeping, preparing reagents and buffers, managing stock control and ordering consumables
Ensuring sterilisation and removal of laboratory waste according to health and safety protocols
Following the health and safety policies and maintaining them in day-to-day activities
Follow SOPs and complete documentation accordingly
What will convince us
A – level in Biology or Chemistry with a science background
Knowledge of general laboratory techniques
Previous experience in laboratory or if you have worked previously in a fast – paced environment that would also be helpful
Motivation to learn

Good communication and written skills
The ability to follow correct procedures and quality standards
Ability to meet deadlines
