Care Facilitator (Deputy)

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, driven individual to work closely with the Registered Manager and lead the senior care team.
The role of a Care Facilitator is vital as the successful individual will be responsible for providing a loving and caring environment whilst maintaining the Christian ethos that is so important to them. This means providing the highest quality of care possible.
The successful person will have previous experience deputising for a manager in a similar setting.

Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Registered Care Manager, you are responsible for the Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants, supervising all care staff when deputising for the manager;
- Provide high quality, professional service of care to our residents;
- Ensure all staff are trained for their roles and responsibilities;
- Make sure that all duties are covered when there are unexpected absences;
- Manage the care and well-being of all the residents, including hands-on personal care when required;
- Assist with recruitment, management and development of staff along with the manager, this includes taking part in appraisals;
- Manage complaints from residents and staff issues that need to be escalated to the manager;
- Responsible for the management of the care plan system;
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, you are required to perform other duties assigned by your manager from time to time that are within your capabilities.
About you:
- You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have empathy with them;
- You will preferably have either an NVQ or QCF accreditation in Health & Social care at level 3 or above;
- You must have experience in deputising for the Manager, leading Seniors and the team;
- You will have experience dealing with safeguardings, complaints and covering the home in the Managers absence etc.
- You must be willing to both lead shifts and take a “hands on” role as required; and
- You need to be able to work in a team and be willing to take on any task to provide an excellent level of care to our residents.

Full-time: 40 hours per week (with alternate weekends)
