Job description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and reliable Packing Operative to join our FMCG Production Line. As a Packing Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient packaging of our high-quality consumer goods while adhering to strict quality control standards. This position offers a day shift schedule (6 am - 2:30 pm) with the potential to transition into shifts based on the needs of the factory.

Responsibilities:

• Operate packaging machinery and equipment efficiently and safely
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for packaging and quality control
• Inspect products for defects, ensuring only items meeting quality standards are packaged
• Pack finished goods into designated containers, ensuring accurate quantities
• Label packages correctly and efficiently, following product specifications
• Stack and palletise packages
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, suggesting ideas for process optimisation

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a fast-paced production line, ideally within the FMCG industry, is preferred but not essential
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Flexibility to work additional hours and transition to shift work based on factory requirements
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• A positive and proactive attitude towards work

Full training will be provided.

Overtime rate: £15.75 over 40 hours and Saturdays. £22.00 Sunday and Bank Holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £21,840.00-£22,880.00 per year
