We have an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner/Domestic to join our team at Longfield Care Home in Maldon, Essex, you will be part of a supportive and welcoming team providing physical, emotional, and social support to our residents. You will make a difference every day by engaging in meaningful activities with residents as well as promoting independence, choice, dignity, and respect always.
Excelcare is a family-owned care home group established for over 32 years. We provide support to older people with a range of needs including dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health issues. By joining us as a Cleaner/Domestic you will become one of the ‘family’ and in return for your dedication and hard work you can expect:
- Salary: £10.90 per hour.
- 18 hours a week
- Shifts from 8am - 2pm and 12pm – 6pm (You will be required to work alternate weekends).

Main Accountabilities:
- Ensure the clean and hygienic maintenance of the Home to a high standard
- Clean all allocated bedrooms, including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets, and equipment (sanitary and other)
- Ensure strict adherence to all health and safety rules (COSHH)
- Follow guidelines for the control of germs and infestations and universal waste control and infection control precautions

- Politeness at all times when dealing with the people we care for as well as colleagues
