Job description
We are recruiting for Full time Support Workers for a Supported Living Service in Great Sutton, Ellesmere Port. We support adults with learning disabilities in our supported living properties.
- Single Work Location at a Supported Living service in Great Sutton
- 41 hours per week and 1 sleep (on average based on a rolling rota)
- Working 3 days per week with every other weekend off
- Full training provided
- Drivers preferred (To drive client Motability vehicles)
- £24,225 per year (based on £10.50 per hour plus sleep in allowance)
We also have a multi-service role available as follows -
- Multiple work location within the Ellesmere Port/Upton area
- 35 hours+ per week with at least 1 sleep (on average)
- Working 3-4 days per week
- 6 week rota given in advance
- Full training provided
- Drivers preferred (To drive client Motability vehicles)
- £21k+ per year, dependent of hours and sleeps (hourly rate as above)
You will work as part of a team with lots of support and training from your colleagues and managers and have a rewarding and fulfilling career helping young adults to live happy and meaningful lives. You may help the people you support to do things such as go shopping, cook their meals, or attend activities such as the cinema or bowling. - We offer FULL TIME PERMANENT CONTRACTS
- Most roles have a fixed rolling shift pattern assigned to them so that you know your regular hours of work on an ongoing basis
- For those roles with no fixed shift pattern, you will be given a 6-week rota to plan around
- Generally, with all roles you will only work 3-4 days per week
- You are guaranteed to have every other weekend off in full if you have a fixed rota role
- There is lots of opportunity to pick up extra shifts but there is no obligation to do so, and we value a healthy work life balance. You will not be allocated extra shifts if you do not want them
- You will have access to lots of support from great managers and opportunity to complete an NVQ
- Progression opportunities do become available and are open to all existing employees prior to external recruitment.
- You will generally work in the same house on each shift. There is generally no travelling between services once you start work, and you will build strong and meaningful relationships with the people you support and your colleagues.
- The majority of the people we support have their own Motability Vehicles so for those of you who drive there is normally no need to use your own car.
