Health Care Assistants/Support workers

Location : Wakefield area
As a Care Assistant you will be delivering quality personal care to each of our residents, your daily tasks will include supporting them with washing, dressing, eating and maintaining their hygiene, as well as ensuring they feel part of life in the home. This will see you providing care, warmth and kindness to help make a difference. You will develop relationships with our residents’ relatives which will support you in understanding their needs more and developing that personal care.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of working with the relevant Client group is manadatory for this location
- Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Team player
- Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes
- Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable)
Desired:
- NVQ Level 2 in Care (achieved / working towards)
- Hardworking and motivated by delivering great service
- Effective team player with a positive attitude

Responsibilities of Care Assistant:
- A kind and caring attitude with a genuine interest in caring for those using our services, including our residents, their families and visitors
- To provide support and guidance to our residents according to their needs
- To promote privacy and dignity at all times
- Contribute to the efficient running of the home and the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of our residents
- Assist residents with personal care activities including washing, personal hygiene and dressing
- Help to maintain accurate records
