Job description
Home Instead are one of the UK's leading providers of care assistants and support workers for the elderly with over 249+ offices nationwide. We have a highly successful team of care professionals who visit our clients in their own homes, offering support and assistance where needed.
We are now looking for people who reside in Potters Bar & Borehamwood locations or thereabouts, (also Welwyn Garden City & Hatfield), to join our wonderful team of Healthcare Support Workers & Care Assistants.
We are recruiting new people who are seeking a career in Adult Care, to work in the community and who feel they have the right qualities to become one of our very special and supportive team members.
We do require that you have a car - this is essential to enable you to travel between clients each day. We also require you to be able to work your standard hours on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate weekends.
We cannot offer sponsorship to overseas candidates at this time. The role requires you to be resident in the UK and with the right to work.
If you would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact us and I promise someone will contact you either the same day or the next working day from receipt of your application - no hanging around with us.
Every client has unique needs and it is our job to ensure that those needs are met, be they practical (washing & dressing) home help duties (hoovering & dusting) or social needs (companionship & taking clients to social events). We do expect our care professionals have the ability to adapt and treat each client with respect and dignity - and to be cheerful and practical when dealing with our clients.
We are currently seeking new care assistants & support workers to join our highly skilled and professional team and are particularly keen on speaking to people who are looking to make a career working in Adult social care.
We are very happy to speak to those with previous experience but are equally keen on having a chat to those with no previous experience but who believe they have the qualities and abilities to make a significant difference in older people's lives.
We are presently looking for new care assistants who are available to work a 30 hour per week shift pattern and will try to work with the hours that you want to work rather than imposing set hours of our own. We try to be adaptable and expect our staff to be just as flexible when needs must!
We are offering as part of the package a pay rate of £17,160 per annum + lots of benefits including travel allowance, paid training, holiday and pension entitlements, minimum 1 hour visits (no dashing between clients), and so very much more that I will be delighted to discuss with you.

I will get back to you immediately I receive your application, or the following working day if contacted over a weekend.
We offer Award Winning Training including in-house workshops and e-learning (all training is paid). We also undertake to continuously professionally develop your skills and expertise at our cost to ensure your skills are as up to date as possible.
We do require you have your own car - working in the community this is a necessity.
We also require all our staff work their normal hours on a Saturday & Sunday on alternate week-ends.
