Newlands is in the heart of Salford and can accommodate 30 residents needing nursing or residential care. Many of our residents follow the Jewish faith, and the home is licensed with the Beth-Din and we maintain very strong links to the Jewish community.
Role:
To keep our beautiful and friendly home running smoothly, we are looking for a care assistant to work our twilight shift, these 6-hour shifts begin in the early evening. We need caring and compassionate people to help us deliver the type of care you’d want your own relatives to have.
Experience is valuable, but not essential. We are looking for genuine, caring and hard-working people who really want to make a positive difference to the lives of our residents. We will provide you with the support and training you need, including induction, the Care Certificate and ongoing development.
With a flexible and dynamic approach to providing person centred care you‘ll be working with our lovely teams to ensure the lives of our residents are happy, healthy and comfortable.
Your role will be to ensure the general well-being of our residents, promoting their independence, choice and dignity by delivering the highest standards of care. You will help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing, supporting people who need help at meal times, and by taking part in social activities with residents, both individually and as part of a group.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of adults and successful applicants are required to provide an enhanced DBS disclosure at their own costs.
