Roden Court Assisted Living is situated between Highgate Village and Crouch End in the north London borough of Haringey. We offer an alternative to residential care for over 55s, ensuring housing, social, health, support and care needs are met, within independent fully supported one and two bedroomed flats.
The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Care Assistant
Salary: £25119 per annum
Location: Haringey, London
Shifts: 37.5 hours per week. Earlies and lates 7am - 3pm / 2pm - 10pm, including one weekend on and one weekend off
Your responsibilities will include:
- To provide assistance and/or guidance where needed with personal care, e.g. taking medicines, shaving, and intensive personal or intimate care in circumstances where this is required.
- To carry out tasks including shopping, cleaning, ironing, cooking, collecting benefits and/or prescriptions, and escorting to attend appointments whilst promoting individual independence
- To monitor the physical and emotional health of customers and take necessary action
- To participate in and monitor care plans
What you will need to succeed

The successful candidate will:
- Have experience of providing support to others in a work, voluntary or personal capacity, we're also happy to accept applications from those without care experience, who would like to get into caring.
- Be able to work flexibly and in a busy environment
- Ability to communicate with customers, their families and friends and giving accurate feedback to the management team
