SR Transit is the UK’s Specialist Car Parts Transporter and we’re expanding due to new contracts!
We provide a safe and superior service alternative to using couriers for the transport of large and fragile vehicle parts. Our drivers are respected within the automotive industry for serving businesses and enthusiasts alike with professionalism, expert car parts handling and above all- passion for what we do! We are looking for more drivers who are ready to build a career within the automotive and transport industries and can offer shift flexibility and a large range of benefits for dedicated and knowledgeable car, truck or motorbike enthusiasts!
Ops: Collecting and delivering parts and vehicles to businesses and domestic addresses
Sales: Learning about our client’s needs and explaining how we can help them further
Admin: Checking routes, contacting clients and working with the office to onboard new business
H&S: Signing van in and out of shift, doing vehicle checks and submitting reports
Ethics: Safe driving, thoughtful parking and closing gates are all part of considerate logistics!
Travel: Occasional working away from home covering remote geographies (fully expensed)
Lifestyle Career: Attending automotive events on behalf of the company for logistics and promotional purposes including shows, race weekends and trade fairs
This is not a courier or self-employed role! Our team are directly employed with opportunities to progress their career in the automotive and transport industries including operations, administrative and management career paths. We are looking to hire those with a genuine passion for all things automotive! Professional driving experience is not necessary. This role requires long distance driving and the physical capability to load and unload large car parts to vehicles- please consider this before applying.
Requirements
~ Strong personal interest in cars with automotive brands and good parts knowledge required
~ Ability to talk to new people enthusiastically and knowledgeably about cars is a must!
~ Aptitude to learn new skills and demonstrate critical thinking when faced with a new task
~ Able to respectfully converse with people from varied cultures, business types and locations
~ We encounter kids and dogs - a child and dog friendly attitude is required
~ Full UK Manual Category B License held over 1 year with current address and no more than 3 points
~ Be fit to drive long distances and perform manual handling tasks including lifting large items
~ Comply with DBS Check– we handle high value, meet families and access interesting restricted facilities!
