The Opportunity

You’ll be fanatical about return on investment (ROI), to ensure the events and engagements yield results and brig about the most memorable student experience.


This is a unique opportunity to join the in-house recruitment team at EY, finding future talent that will enable EY to deliver our market leading high-volume UK wide strategy. You’ll join a multi award winning team, responsible for engaging, sourcing, and attracting the best and most diverse candidates to the firm’s school, work experience and graduate programmes across the UK.


We are looking for someone who can manage relationships with schools, universities at the highest level, and foster best in class relationships. As well as engaging diverse talent pools for EY. You will also be involved in planning and running innovative candidate engagement events at scale alongside delivering on internal projects within the team, to make EY stand out from the crowd and make a “BIG BANG” and leave a lasting impression.


Key aspects of the role:

  • Contributes to the achievement of Student Recruitment hiring targets across all programmes by demonstrating measurable impact on fill rate linked to activity, reviews pipeline reports weekly and initiates course corrections to ensure university and campaign plans are coordinated across the team
  • Managing EY brand at a target list of universities, ensuring value for money, return on investment and effectiveness of events delivered
  • Partner with university/ early careers officials to build brand awareness and promote EY as a top employer of early career talent through innovative bespoke events
  • Ambassador for EY and be able to effectively communicate employer brand to internal and external stakeholders including students, careers professionals and internal management, demonstrating EY’s unique selling points
  • Gains knowledge with regard to business strategy and performance and demonstrates understanding of the key business drivers and fill rate
  • Delivering bold events strategy at universities and schools, including; student societies, in curriculum and lecturing, alongside attending career fairs, hosting information sessions, and building relationships with career services staff and student organizations
  • Plans and execute recruitment events, including coordinating logistics, promoting events, and ensuring a positive candidate experience end to end bringing in talent from the business to story tell and convey messaging
  • Actively engage with potential candidates through various channels, including social media, online job boards, and professional organizations.
  • Creative approaches to sourcing candidates and have a deep understanding of the early career talent landscape, how do you reach the candidates who are not attending careers fairs or are part of societies?
  • Is responsive to business needs, demonstrating speed of response through own actions and proactively proposing ideas and solutions
  • Builds a strong internal network for example with Talent Shared Services, Resourcing, Operations, HR and the business to remain abreast of key issues and events and to provide exceptional service and insight to business

MI & Reporting

  • Produces and interprets weekly data to assess ROI on campus activity to help shape future strategy
  • Able to produce weekly management/pipeline reports for team and business as required and can identify when data is not accurate or of questionable integrity
  • Uses the recruitment portals effectively so that data is maintained with integrity and updates the recruitment records consistently to ensure accurate reporting of candidate activity at all times
  • Accurately collects and reports on data for specific KPI’s or produces reports proactively for the team and internal stakeholders


To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • A passion for student recruitment, either via prior experience or a desire to learn
  • Highly organised with an eye for detail
  • Confident excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs etc)
  • Curious about fill rate, reviewing variance against target and initiative action
  • Previous experience in a large organisation in a high-volume campaigns role or delivering across scale and regional complexity
  • Recruitment marketing and campaigns experience
  • Bringing authentic story-telling to life through creative campaigns for hot spot roles
  • Experience in event management and delivery
  • Relationship building skills – with the ability to challenge where necessary, always acting with integrity and enthusiasm
  • Enjoy teaming and working with others on core delivery and projects
  • Calm and objective when under pressure
  • Experience of public speaking/ delivering workshops to students
  • Social media knowledge and experience


Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience of either schools or university recruitment (ideally both)
  • Proven track record of executing volume recruitment
  • An understanding of Undergraduate and schools work experience programmes
  • Experience of managing campaigns for multiple positions and building candidate pipelines
  • Social media knowledge and experience
  • Ability to quickly prioritise work and remain flexible in accordance with business needs
