We are looking for highly motivated, caring, compassionate and dynamic individuals with knowledge, skills & experience of working in Child & Adolescent. Mental Health to join our team and that can demonstrate a tolerance and understanding of supporting young people and assist them in working towards their recovery and delivering high quality care effectively & efficiently. CAMHS Inpatients are General Adolescent Mental Health Units for young people aged between 13 years – 18 years. The Burrows is based within Berrywood Hospital site and The Sett is a stand-alone unit just a 5 minute drive from Berrywood Hospital. As part of the Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service The Sett & The Burrows provide assessment & short term treatment for adolescents with a wide range of complex and challenging mental health problems that cannot be managed at home because of their complexity, risk and interference with social and normal development. Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships with patients within appropriate professional boundaries Assisting members of the ward team to enable the completion of a full assessment of need with the young person within parameters agreed on admission Assisting registered nurses with the admission and discharge of patients to the ward. Providing direct support to young people and their families, by carrying out nursing interventions, as agreed in individualized treatment plans. Assisting with nursing procedures considered appropriate by registered nurses. Supporting young people with aspects of daily living skills if required. Assisting in meeting the dietary needs of patients according to their care plan. Organizing/assisting /helping young people participate in occupational and recreational activities. Supporting young people with therapeutic/treatment programs and education as determined by their care plan and the nurse in charge, ensuring they are prepared and arrive on time. Ensure positive regard to all young people, being sensitive and caring regardless of illness, religion, culture and beliefs. Promoting a positive approach to a harmonious working environment and personally act as a role model Maintain effective communication & record all nursing interventions as directed.
