Who we are

Withnell Sensors are temperature and humidity specialists who provide product solutions and service to a range of industries. We predominantly support the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical sectors. Our precision temperature and humidity lab in Lancashire offers routine calibration for our customers.

We require a service engineer to support operational functions within our laboratory and at times, on customer sites. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the engineer will be required to support the calibration department as well as a ad-hoc site visits to our customers throughout the UK to perform calibration, service and temperature mapping.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Set-up, review and processing of lab paperwork

· Completing calibrations, in-house or on-site at customer facilities

· General maintenance of lab areas

· Routine inspection and validation activities on test equipment

· Implementation of the Quality System as per QMS training

· Continued customer liaison throughout the calibration process

· Preparing of calibration items for transfer to Goods out

· Generation and review of calibration certificates

Skills/Experience

Previous experience in a technical environment is desired as well as a HND as a minimum qualification in an engineering discipline. Good organisation and a respect for adherence to process and procedures is vital. Good communication skills will be needed to ensure regular liaison with the Technical Manager, Quality Manager and rest of the service department.

A professional and customer focused attitude is required from employees at Withnell Sensors which supports our ongoing commitment to delivering first class customer care.

On occasion you might also be required to complete service activities at our customer sites-for this we offer generous expense and mileage allowances. For this reason a drivers license is required.
