Job Title: Café Supervisor (seasonal)

Remote working role: No – location based only
Age Restriction: 18+ on date of contract commencement
Level/Salary Range: £10.62 per hour
Hours: Variable, based on needs of the service. Hours will include daytime weekday and weekend working
Contract: Zero Hours
Reporting: Role reports to General Manager and liaises closely with Duty Managers
Job Description
Objective of role
- To maintain cafe standards
- Produce and serve well prepared food
- Provide first class customer service
- Carry out stock management and ordering
- To hold excellent communication and public relation skills.
- To complete and supervise and kitchen cleaning to a 5* standard.
- To manage Retail Assistants and assist their professional development
- Grow personally and professionally as part of the lido business.
Responsibilities
- To prepare and serve food from the kitchen, with assistance
- To prepare and serve hot drinks from the kitchen, with assistance
- To manage stock levels of all items and ensure staff are correctly stock rotating
- Ensure merchandise and food items are displayed and restocked
- To order stock for the kiosk and kitchen from our selected suppliers
- To ensure the kitchen is kept clean and cleaning procedures are followed and documented
- To update and inform staff of allergy advice for all food items.
- Own and update the cafe manual and train new staff
- Continually develop an understanding of the company’s culture, products and ethics reflect this in everyday performance
- Take responsibility for personal development and actively seek opportunities for improvement
- Other duties as deemed necessary or as required.
Person Specification
Qualifications:
- Maths & English GCSE A-C (or working towards) Essential
- Training Food Safety and Hygiene (Catering) Level 2 [Minimum] Essential
- Allergy Awareness training Desirable
Experience:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or café environment Desirable
- Experience in a retail environment Desirable
- Previous face-to-face customer service experience Desirable
- Previous experience in use of EPOS system and/or tills Desirable
- Use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office based systems Essential
Skills:
- Ability to initiate contact and communication Essential
