Job description
Edsons, established in 1885, is a bespoke cabinet and specialist joinery manufacturing company that produces high quality fitted joinery, predominantly for the prime, London residential market, working for private clients, leading architects and design practices.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding CAD design department. We are recruiting a CAD technician who will assist in the production of working drawings for client approval and for in-house manufacturing purposes.
Ideally the successful applicant will have a working knowledge of 2D AutoCAD or Autodesk Inventor and be interested in contributing to the development of the expanding design office.
Candidate Specification
Essential
· Working knowledge of joinery/furniture making.
· Good numeracy and computer skills (especially Microsoft Office.)
· Good communication skills (both written and verbal.)
. Working knowledge and experience using 2D AutoCAD software.
· Good problem-solving skills.
· The ability to work as part of a team.
· The ability to meet deadlines.
· Good organisational skills.
· The desire to contribute fully to a skilled design office and to produce work of the highest quality.
· A driven attitude with the wish to continue to learn and improve.
Desirable
· A sound knowledge of the specified software.
· An understanding of joinery manufacturing processes and construction methods.
· A knowledge of material properties.
