Are you a CAD Technician looking for a new and exciting challenge? Do you have knowledge of (or interest in) Joinery or Carpentry? If so, we may have the role for you!
JOB PURPOSE
As a CAD Draughtsman with our client, you will work on a range of bespoke joinery products .
You will be responsible for projects from Sales Handover to production. You will produce drawings to the appropriate level of detailing (including specialist materials) for joinery construction. You will interact and work collaboratively with clients, advisors, design professionals and internal project teams.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To deliver 2D & 3D working drawings on CAD
- Key participation in project handover meetings, taking the project(s) forward from sale stage.
- Attending project meetings to facilitate successful project delivery.
- Prepare cutting lists where necessary.
- Report changes/variations to specification/drawings back to estimating.
- Co-ordinate ordering of specialist materials with procurement i.e. metalwork and ironmongery etc.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with Company Health and Safety Policy
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Completes a thorough handover with the sales department before commencing a job.
- Ensure drawings produced are cost efficient.
- Ensure that all drawings produced include the correct information as set out to the department standards.
- Produces drawings in a timely manner ready for handover to Contracts Manager and production.
- Attends weekly team meeting (Tuesdays) in the office with the CAD team.
- Achieves drawings within allotted engineering hours and keeps track of any extra billable hours.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
- 5 years CAD Design experience
- Strong understanding of joinery products, Windows, Door sets, Mouldings and Cabinetry.
- Ability to work within budgets constraints.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
