Overview / Responsibilities:
Due to significant growth across our Power Solutions business Wood are seeking additional CAD resources to support our growing workload. The role is eligible for flexible working although it is expected that the role is office based.
Purpose of the Position:
Deliver drawings, design deliverables and documents as directed by the engineers and designers in accordance the engineering procedures and guidance notes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Produce CAD Model models to support engineering studies and construction activities.
- Produce drawings, sketches, and reports to convey the outputs form Engineering to stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ensure that the quality of all your deliverables before passing to others for review.
- Ensure, as far as practicable, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and programme.
- Keep up to date with all technical quality management procedures, developments and specifications related to the discipline work scope.
Essential:
- Computer Literacy in basic software packages including Word, Excel, Power point etc
- Some level of expertise in producing CAD outputs with packages including, but not restricted to AutoCAD and / or MicroStation.
- Fluent spoken and written English language.
- Minimum level of anticipated Education 5 GCSE qualifications or equivalent including Maths, English
Desirable:
- Post school level education achievements in relevant area for delivering engineering CAD outputs.
- Awareness of Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Ability to develop CAD details in 3-D model environments
- Ability to work maturely in a diverse team.
