- Permanent - 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
- £21,600 per annum

We have an amazing opportunity for a passionate individual to join the Buying and Merchandising team who will support the Beaverbrooks Jewellery team as a Buying Assistant, with the view to be at Coordinator level within the first year of your new and exciting career!
As a Buying Assistant you will be responsible for creating lines, managing orders that are coming into the business, liaising with suppliers to ensure we have the right stock, in the right place at the right time. The successful candidate will have a passion for Jewellery and numbers.

- Providing support to co-ordinator, buyers, and head of dept for all brands and suppliers in our portfolio.
- Collaboration within wider Buying & Merchandising department as well as other internal departments including Stock In, Special Orders, Marketing and Repairs.
- New brand set up.
- Full ownership (with support from buyer) of the Once Diamond Ring programme, new line set ups, new orders, store roll outs.
- Supporting the buy of loose diamonds, order creations, checking diamond weights, supporting meetings.
- Supporting the part ex pack and information guide.
- Supporting the Branch Review Changes, Brands in and Out Changes.
- Maintaining the supplier pack.
- Developing and maintaining good working relationships with our suppliers.
- Reporting and communicating information, both internally and externally.
- Store support via email & telephone.
- Supporting dept on product information – inputting data.
- Manage your own area on a day-to-day basis & manage your own workload, with Buyer leads prioritisation of workstreams.
- Competently produce product specs & ensuring accuracy and proactively contacting suppliers for this information.
- Supporting on Product launches.
- New line management, ensuring all new lines are created correctly including accurate costings and attributes.
- Stock Order placement & management - ensuring orders are on schedule. Communication with various departments within the business during the whole order process is essential to ensure smooth receipt and distribution of stock.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs.
- Ability and desire to give/receive feedback well.
- Highly organised and motivated.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think on your feet.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A passion for jewellery.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Passed Jet 1 and 2 (Certificate and Diploma).
- A knowledge of NAV.
- An ability to demonstrate previous project management experience.
- Hold full driving licence.
