About Our Client

Junior Buyer will support the team with system administration and take ownership for RFQs as well as take direct ownership of some category where you will be supported to develop Sourcing & Supplier strategies to drive category growth and terms improvements
Job Description
- Supporting system admin for wider buying team
- Working with sales team to create and send RFQs to suppliers and provide supplier recommendations
- Take ownership of their category and work with sales team to drive sales and margin
- Analyse the market to find potential new suppliers and set up products and suppliers on SAP
- Building and driving relationships with key vendors to improve pricing, terms, and quality of service
- Supporting Sales with RFQs and general product information requests
- Sales and margin performance of categories
- Timely response to sales team for ad hoc information requests
- Setup product and suppliers on SAP and ensure appropriate administration is completed
The Successful Applicant
- Experience of working in an office based commercial environment
- Basic understand of supply chain, marketing and/or working in a sales environment
- Good interpersonal Skills and able to communicate well with peers
- Ability to analyse and develop accurate reporting of sales and margin
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Excel skills and Proficient in other MS Office applications
- Strong numeracy skills
- Friendly can-do attitude, personable and enjoy working within a team environment

- 18 months in working with a team of buyers / procurement professional and/or buying assistant experience
- Ability to manage & prioritise Customer and internal work demands
