We have an exciting opportunity for a Buyer to join the George Home team! This role sits within the Home Textiles category and you will manage a diverse and challenging product portfolio across cushions, rugs and throws.
This role represents a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to the GM commercial teams and to engage colleagues across the business to land an integrated, best in class customer offer.
Your Role
As a Buyer within Home Textiles, you will work collaboratively with key suppliers and internal stakeholders alike in order to deliver sales, pricing and growth ahead of the market while helping to manage the category P&L.
You will negotiate and deliver business plans as well as understand customers and implement strategies that meets their needs. You will do this by having a thorough understanding of current and future market trends, as well as the George Brand.
You will also need to understand, track & negotiate around key commodities and deliver cost to serve programmes with suppliers to ensure great value for the customer.
About you
- Previous experience working as a Buyer within a trend driven category
- Be passionate about product development & Home interiors
- Strong commercial awareness and being highly numerate
- A strong understanding of customer requirements, market trends and competitors
- Value strong relationships, with both internal colleagues and our suppliers
