As a Buyer, you will be responsible for working with the proposed supply chain concept and executing the sourcing process based on the Integrated Commodity Strategy, production volume and unique project requirements. You will also manage the contracting work to secure commercial agreements through the Global Sourcing Board with suppliers.

What you will be doing
  • Working on new bids and supply chain packages.
  • Engaging stakeholders to ensure the programme, customer, product and in-service strategies are integrated into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies in line with business goals and processes.
  • Negotiating pricing and contracting terms and conditions.
  • Preparing and executing negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Optimising execution of the supply chain balancing inventory, supply orders and schedule demand.
  • Managing supplier/subcontractor performance and relationship to ensure delivery, quality financial stability and in-service performance, undertaking regular supplier performance reviews.

  • Ideally degree qualified in a relevant discipline or a professional procurement qualification or relevant experience.
  • Experience in Procurement and Contract Management.
  • Good knowledge of industry recognised procurement & ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to work in a challenging and pressured environment as well as quickly understanding the complex organisations, functions, supply chains, regulations and processes.
  • First class communication, influencing and negotiating skills, both internally and externally at all business levels.
  • Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness.
