We are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer / Procurement Manager who will take ownership of procurement and purchasing activities.

The Procurement Manager will be:

• Providing expertise for effective and efficient procurement activities
• Supporting quality, assurance of supply and total cost savings
• Actively building relationships and managing suppliers to ensure factory requirements are considered, maximising value
• Ensuring proper market intelligence regarding suppliers and products
• Ensuring procurement best practices
• Forward thinking and dynamic

The ideal candidate will have:

• Recognised supply chain / buying qualification or relevant Buying experience
• Experience working with an MRP system with BOM integration
• Proven experience in procurement / buying within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to manage stock and stock turns, working closely with the stock control team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including advanced negotiation abilities
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Strong team player
• Excellent computer skills

The role would suit applicants with previous experience as Head of Buying, Procurement Manager, Head of Procurement, Senior Buyer.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £25,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• OL15 9AZ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
