We're looking for a Buyer to join our Major Projects team at HPC to join our Major Projects HPC department based in Somerset, Bridgewater. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities
As a Buyer you'll be working within the major projects HPC team, supporting them by taking ownership of a project by managing resources (people, finance and physical assets) in a safe and timely manner to the required quality.
Your day to day will include:
- Lead & implement procurement of plant, equipment, and materials for the project.
- Develop the project specific supply chain plan for procurement of plant, equipment, and materials.
- Ensure procurement fully complies with detailed technical requirements.
- Managing budget costs will be a key requirement of this role – contribute to, and implement these processes by negotiating with all parties to ensure value for money.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of Performance Excellence.
Who are we looking for?
This role of Buyer is great for you if:
- You have evidential experience and positive track record of ‘best in class’ supply chain procurement in a similar role within a complex project and able to demonstrate experience of significant cost and time savings.
- You have a good understanding of Target Cost contracts.
- You have a proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach.
- You are able to work as part of a team to deliver objective of the project and company.
- You have demonstrable excellence in supporting the delivery of design, construction & commissioning of large water sector related projects
