Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover’s new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investment program already underway, we would like you to join us now to be part of the successful implementation of what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.

As a Warehouse IT Administrator, you will maintain and control information relating to incidents from across the Mercia site, proactively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to provide updates in a timely manner. You will report daily on the inbound and outbound movements of aftermarket parts globally, across all transport modes, at the new, custom-built JLR Global Parts Logistics Centre at Mercia Park, Appleby Magna.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
- Liaise with individuals reporting incidents, and JLR across separate logs and platforms to communicate the progress of their incident
- Update separate logs for incidents and run reports from these to track incident management
- Identify and prioritise incidents, communicating progress with all levels of the business as required
- Use the reporting process and procedures to identify root causes of incidents
About You
We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to react and adapt quickly to changes and requests
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role
- Experience of developing and producing reports using data from multiple sources/systems
- Good attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google packages
