This is an exciting opportunity to join Gateshead’s Council’s Public Health Team, providing vital administrative support across the team as the Council takes forward its Thrive strategy, with health and wellbeing at its heart. We are seeking to appoint a full time, Business Support Assistant (Grade E).
Working closely with the Director of Public Health and colleagues across the Public Health Team, this will involve providing an exceptional business support function in support of Public Health activity. Working within a very busy, fast paced, supportive and highly rewarding area of Gateshead Council.
You will have responsibility for the co-ordination, monitoring, and provision of administration support across the service which will include attending meetings in a support capacity, including the accurate taking and recording of minutes, managing diaries, managing payment of invoices and other administration tasks.
Your role will give you first-hand insight into the broad and varied activity across Public Health and will be pivotal in ensuring an effective service.
