As Business Operations Manager you will help develop a new function that will enhance our ability to understand our employees and the best ways for our teams to be successful. Your role is critical and highly visible across Field Services. Key Responsibilities Transparently drive all cross-functional decisions that impact our defined objectives and key results, supporting the Field Services Leadership Team Drive accelerated deployment plans with Heads of Department to embed continuous improvement opportunities Facilitate construction of a series of projects and initiatives to deliver specific capabilities in a cost effective and benefit driven schedule. Regularly direct the delivery of projects through active sponsorship, leadership and involvement in specific initiatives to ensure they meet time, cost and quality requirements. Lead on the design and implementation of our new Centrical platform -which will deliver development for our teams in customer service, training, and learning with performance visibility and advanced gamification Bring together management reporting, employee feedback and customer insights to define and execute projects and scalable solutions to solve problems. Participate in the definition of goals that will enable Field Services to achieve success in improving performance, reducing cost per install whilst increasing employee engagement. Collaborate with other leaders across Field Services to identify and implement best practices Ensure consistent and efficient execution of team engagement activities by working closely with internal business partners to drive adoption and implementation of standards, processes and policies that are suitable for Field Services. Create and deliver practices which develop - and maintain - positive working relationships between OVO and its employees. Working together with our People team, bring together and work closely with Trade Union and employee representatives forums, Actively participate in discussions by providing a focus on a problem we are trying to solve through the lens of an employee’s experience, helping the Field Services Senior Leadership team to peel back layers and uncover root-cause of risks or issues caused by poor experience. Essential skills and experience: Experience in a large field-based environment supporting a large retailer Experience in collecting and exploring views from a wide range of colleague groups - and interpreting data, to drive valuable insight and actionable recommendations Ability to work independently with limited general supervision and prioritise competing demands. Can create a compelling picture of what success could look like. Can frame ideas in business outcomes and benefits and inspires others behind these. Can demonstrate success in operational roles that gives you a well developed empathy of the challenges and opportunities faced by front line teams and leaders in Operations. Has the ability to combine feedback from front line teams, with an understanding of business objective and stakeholder requirements - in order to put together content and material that brings teams together behind our goals Champions the benefits of engagement and through your own passion, builds support and commitment to ideas Has experience of coordinating activities and projects across a range of multi-functional team; both field and office/home based Can build strong relationships and bring together participants with different skill sets, - in doing things differently to achieve better results. Can own and drive projects through to completion delivering targeted benefits – balances delivering some projects themselves with delivering results through others.
