Stockton-On-Tees Borough Council hosts the Business Unit for employment purposes on behalf of the Teeswide Safeguarding Adults Board.
The Teeswide Safeguarding Adults Board is a unique partnership arrangement which provides the strategic direction for safeguarding adults across the Boroughs of Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees.
Following the retirement of the current postholder an exciting opportunity has become available to recruit a new Business Manager. The Board is seeking a highly organised and enthusiastic individual with demonstrable experience of working at a strategic level, with effective partnership working and the ability to lead and manage a team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the TSAB Independent Chair, the Board’s strategic partners and the Chairs of the various sub-groups to support the Board in achieving its statutory safeguarding role and the aims and objectives as set out in the Board’s Strategic Business Plan.
It is essential that potential candidates have experience of policy and strategy development, performance management, managing substantial budgets, chairing complex meetings within a multi-disciplinary context and possess excellent communication skills.
An important aspect of the role is to lead and manage the Teeswide Safeguarding Adults Board (TSAB) Business Unit: a small and well-established team which provides the business support function and supports and co-ordinates the work of the Board.
This post has been identified as suitable for flexible working which enables the postholder to work 60% of their working time away from the office
