About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity, for a BI Analyst to join us to design, develop and enhance the management information and business intelligence use cases across the business.
Key responsibilities
As a member of the Business Intelligence Centre of Excellence (BI CoE), you will be working across multiple business lines, adopting a consultative approach to solving our businesses’ data and analytics needs, ensuring a full understanding of requirements and working with the delivery squads to ensure a successful outcome. Your responsibilities will also include;
- Work within a team of technical experts to develop dashboards/analysis in an agile environment
- Analyse data from multiple sources , apply data transformation techniques and data modelling concepts to structure data in a format required for the BI tools
- To provide technical support to the stakeholders on their reporting questions/issues
- Deliver enhancements/bug fixes to existing reporting projects
- Design and develop new solutions for new reporting & insight requirements
- Ensure good standards, working practices and governance is in place to provide a consistent approach to reporting delivery
- Be actively involved in the regular technical and best practice discussions as part of the team
Skills and experience
To be a success in this role, you will have a strong technical background and a good knowledge of data visualisation tools, as well as the following:
- Expert knowledge of SQL
- Expert knowledge of enterprise database tools and ecosystems
- Strong understanding of data architecture, with demonstrated experience in bridging business requirement and technical design & development
- Knowledge of ETL tools such Alteryx, DataStage etc.
- Good knowledge of data modelling techniques
- Knowledge of BI tools such as MicroStrategy, PowerBI or similar will be beneficial.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with good business acumen and a strategic mindset
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies in the growing data space
